Sara's cottage sits in a secluded spot at the back of the property about 150 yards from the main farmhouse.  This is the oldest cottage, and still probably the most popular.  With its secluded location and wrap-around porch, it often takes our visitors back to memories of old lake houses or mountain cottages that were visited in their youth.

The interior of the cottage is lined completely with western red cedar which ages gracefully and gives off a wonderful aroma.  Like the other cottages, Sara's cottage is set up studio-style, with one large room containing a sofa, overstuffed chair, queen size bed and a little dining area.  The sofa and chair are grouped around a pot-bellied wood-burning stove.  Antique quilts and a beautiful crochet bedspread adorn the bed with a firm mattress topped with a feather pad.

The floors of the cottage are of knotty pine and covered with Oriental carpets for a touch of elegance.  This cottage has a little loft area with a futon for a child or two if you are past the "honeymoon" stage, but still want to stay in this romantic cottage.  The large bathroom has a pedestal sink and a deep, old claw-foot tub, perfect for a leisurely soak.  It also has a shower.  There is a refrigerator and little kitchen sink in case you want to bring in some "take-out."  

All in all, Sara's Cottage has a comfortable feel which keeps guests coming back to stay time and again.
